All the partners will work together on curriculum development and preparation of the training module for deaf and hearing sign language interpreters. HSGN and LKD will make a plan of topics and training content through exchange of their experience in providing sign language courses for the deaf but also for hearing persons, while FFE will give their contribution in methodological and pedagogical way. The curriculum development plan will be arranged at the first few project meetings and work tasks divided among project partners and their staff. There will be also curriculum development dynamics arranged so the training module can be done in planned and given deadlines. Training will be based on a bottom-up and non-formal education approach as well in order to make sure that the training will meet the educational needs of the trainees.

Creation of intergenerational workshops

All training materials of the training modules will be transferred to video format, with explanation in Croatian, Lithuanian, Spanish and English. Video format is very important for Deaf community particular because Deaf are visual types of persons. Also video format for learning sign language is very helpful because of the gestures and hand moves that are hard to present on photos. This will be helpful for hearing interpreters too because this kind of practice HSGN and LKD use when organizing their sign language courses. This method was shown as usefull for participant becase, besides the “video glossary” they will have, it will be online and always on the hand. Three partners will work in coordination, with FFE coordinating the technological part and HSGN and LKD providing the interpreters that will help in creating this videos. Videos will be available after the training, after project partners gather experiences and comments from participants so participants of the training have custom made video glossary/handbook. Also, videos will be available for public too, so every deaf and hearing sign language interpreter can use it and it can help them in their professional development. Video will also be accessible because when working with videos, HSGN and LKD want their deaf and hard of hearing members to be included in every aspect of life in general by providing them accessibility in sign language.
